I will dominate 'legitimate fighter' Paul - Joshua
Anthony Joshua is set to fight Jake Paul in an eight-round fight which will be shown in real-time on Netflix.
British boxer Joshua declared he will "overwhelm entirely" Jake Paul and "overpower" his opponent as the pair came face-to-face to publicize the upcoming heavyweight fight.
Former two-time world boxing king Anthony Joshua faces social media star turned fighter Jake Paul - in what is, on paper, a huge uneven pairing - at Miami's arena on December 19th.
Fighter's Attitude
"I'm going to damage his features and damage his physique. My goal is to show I'm superior," the British boxer, 35 years old, stated.
"I plan to overwhelm him. That's a fighter's mentality.
"I'm going to seriously aim to hurt him. That's what I want to do."
Respectful Interaction
In spite of those words, a relaxed Anthony Joshua and internet personality Paul - typically recognized for his showmanship - exchanged pleasantries and remained civil with each other.
Jake Paul rather attacked ex Joshua rival Francis Ngannou and labeled him "ridiculous" after Ngannou turned down a fight offer.
Targeting Fury
Anthony Joshua, meanwhile, criticized UK rival Fury - and refused a million-pound wager 'The Gypsy King' says he will place on a victory for Paul.
"[Paul] is better than Tyson Fury - he showed up," the boxer commented.
"I give him credit for that."
Serious Opponent
Despite saying he intends to punish Paul, Joshua chose not to speak negatively about his rival's boxing ability.
"Jake Paul is a credible opponent," he stated.
Paul's History
Jake Paul - who first rose to fame on the television network - has mostly fought MMA fighters or declining opponents since becoming pro.
He was defeated by British fighter Tommy Fury in last year.
Financial Success
Still, the inexperienced fighter continues to be one of boxing's greatest money-making draws, consistently making massive earnings.
Forecast and Belief
The 28 year old forecast a KO victory in rounds four or five and asserted he would stop the much-anticipated Fury-Joshua bout, which is allegedly being planned for 2026.
"It's going to be myself against Tyson Fury in the coming year," Jake Paul said.
Physical Disparity
As Joshua and Paul met for the traditional stare-down, with their height and weight contrast on show, it drove home just how unlikely this whole event is - and how remarkable it is that the fight is actually happening.
